If one is looking for a integrated, printer / fax / scanner / card reader and that too a model which does not occupy much space on the desk, HP office jet 4215 appears to be best buy and I must add that I have not been disappointed so far.xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Here, I must protest with HP that they should pack all the cables and peripherals as a part of standard offer with the equipment. Cartridges here have a real long life and can be replaced quite fast and easy. The cartridges bought as a set come at economical price. The printer really works at a fast speed with about 10 ppm for text and 4 ppm for pictures.
Scanner is good, except for the fact that the scanner is not really a flat bed scanner but the best part is that scanner copies well and prints at the same speed as printer and even color prints come at almost same speed as B&W. Faxing is quite similar as conventional fax machine and is quite practical.
One annoying feature of the printer is the small capacity of the paper tray yhat can not fit more than 20-30 pages and there is no catch for printed papers. Driver installation is quite straightforward as any other HP equipment and driver CD comes with Printer It is truly a multifunction printer, however, one may be tempted to have a flat bed scanner along with it.
