An excellent new launch by Maruti in India after a long long time for the entry / mid car segment. You may ask Why entry?, given the aspirations of car users, increased money circulation, Santro and Zen have already become largely entry level cars for a major segment. The pricing of swift being so well that it is only a matter of time before Swift is also entry level car, if not for masses, for a substantial chunk of new comers.

But whether the car is really a new and great offering and would it be able to give some boost to Maruti which has been battered badly by Hyundai for Maruti 800 and Zen and by Ascent, Honda, Ford Ikon and many many more for its esteem?

First the interiors, the world over especially in Ireland where this model is largely in use since 2002 or before, the interior trim has worn through under the pedals.

In India, today the car is only a month old stuff so, real reports are yet to pour in for indian conditions. But my experience in UK showed that Interior is clean and comfortable. The Car has some noise level which increases at high speeds, but it is true with many Suzuki models. Other cars as Honda and Ikon have edge for this reason.

Boot space is a little limited, but usable for shopping for a small family. During test drive the car could go to 110 kmph at ease, though the stretch of road allowing it was little shorter and not long enough, it pulled up a steep hill with ease.

ANother reason good enough to buy this car is that excellent dealer network established by Maruti and its range of MASS Dealers would definitley give a genuine trouble free service and repairs when and should it ever need.

Only I wish AC should have been as good as Corsa but AC was slightly better than esteem, may be because of its smaller size vs esteem

Car has been claimed as very fuel efficient and reliable. In my 3000 kms of run in about 15 days, I am getting about 14 or 15 kms as average. Over all it is a great car
